As a health-care provider, can I ask Interim Federal Health Program clients to pay for a service?

Changes to IFHP supplemental health benefits Starting May 1, 2026

IFHP beneficiaries need to pay you (the provider) directly for a portion of the cost of supplemental health services and products, including prescription medication.

Basic health benefits will will remain free-of-charge under the IFHP.
