How do I replace an immigration document that has been lost, stolen or destroyed?

If your immigration document has been lost, stolen or destroyed

• review the application package and complete a Verification of Status or Replacement of an Immigration Document and
• send the document to the Operations Support Centre in Ottawa, Ontario

If you need urgent processing

In certain situations, you may qualify for urgent processing.

If you qualify for urgent processing, you must

• clearly mark “URGENT” on your mailing envelope
• include proof as to why urgent processing is required

If you don’t qualify or don’t provide sufficient proof, your application will be placed in the regular processing queue.
